The way to achieve mabrur haj (perfect haj) is by having a sincere intention solely for the sake of Allah the Almighty and hoping for His pleasure, said Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Head of Alumni Affairs Haji Mohammad Khairul Nazif bin Haji Damit at a religious talk during Munajat night at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque on Saturday.
He added, “Before leaving for the holy land, the pilgrims need to have true faith or belief. It is important to have a good understanding of the procedures and obligations that must be performed to ensure a mabrur haj.
“Haj purifies a pilgrim’s sins, likened as though the pilgrim is as pure as the day he was born.” The religious gathering, held for the 135th time and organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, saw participants from some 75 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
