Both Mukim Lumut A teams won the Sepak Takraw and Dart Tournament at the Mumong Sports Complex, Kuala Belait on Sunday.
The preliminary rounds for the sepak takraw began on Friday with 18 teams from seven Mukims in the Belait District competing in two categories, Open and Veteran.
The semi-finals and finals of the tournament were held on Sunday alongside the start of the dart tournament where six teams competed.
Organised by the Belait District Branch of the Youth and Sports Department, the tournament was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birthday celebration.
The guest of honour, Head Officer for Youth and Sports Mohammad Marriswandi bin Haji Omar, was welcomed by the chairman of the tournament Mohd Shah Johan bin Haji Shari.
For the sepak takraw tournament, the finals for the Veteran saw Mukim Belait winning against Mukim Seria at 2-0.
Meanwhile, in the Open category, Mukim Lumut A won 2-1 against Mukim Belait.
For the dart tournament, Mukim Lumut A, headed by Liang Lumut Darters members were placed first. Mukim Belait A came in second place and Mukim Seria B won third place.
The guest of honour presented medals and cash prizes winners.
