Muallaf As-Syahadah Youths, under the Secretariat for Youth Religious Programmes at the Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs, held a dissolution and appointment ceremony for its executive committee on Saturday night at the Islamic Dakwah Centre’s multipurpose hall.
The event marked the official dissolution of the 2023-2024 committee and the appointment of a new leadership team for the 2025-2026 term, a process conducted biennially to foster leadership skills and identify potential among Muallaf youth.
The initiative aims to enhance the quality of service and contributions to society and the nation while strengthening bonds among members and recognising the efforts of outgoing committee members.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah, and prayers, followed by an address from the guest of honour, Acting Director of the Islamic Dakwah Centre Awang Haji Ahmad Abdussalam bin Haji Abd Rahman.
Outgoing chairperson Dayang Nurul Nadzirah binti Haji Simpon delivered a farewell speech before the presentation of appreciation certificates and appointment letters by the guest of honour.
The event concluded with the recitation of the pledge, led by a representative of the newly appointed committee, followed by Surah Al-Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah. – Fadley Faisal
