MS ABDB will carry a slight advantage in the second leg of the Brunei Futsal Cup 2022 final after edging Almerez FC 3-2 the Ministry of Defence last night.
Almerez opened the scoring through Md Izzan Syahiran bin Haji Sharin in the seventh minute.
MS ABDB drew level in the 20th minute through team captain Mohd Safari bin Wahit.
The army personnel took the lead five minutes later with substitute Muhd Izzan bin Zamain finding the net.
Mohammad Norfauzee bin Mohd Norizan helped MS ABDB into a two-goal cushion in the 26th minute.
However, Almerez remained in contention in the contest after Awangku Muhammad Amirul Haziq bin Pengiran Kamshulzaman scored in the 31st minute.
The second leg of the Brunei Futsal Cup final will be held on Friday.
