Twenty members from the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Kampong Mumong organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony last Sunday, to celebrate His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 76th birthday.
Held at the residence of Kampong Mumong Village Head Haji Mohd Yusof bin Haji Dulamin, the ceremony aimed to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty for the well-being of His Majesty and the people of the Sultanate, while expressing gratitude for the country’s prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty.
Haji Mohd Yusof said the village consultative council plans to conduct a similar ceremony to observe the Dikir Maulud.
