The Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) organised a ‘Khazanah Ride’ in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday celebration recently.
The convoy of 80 led by PEMODA President Pengiran Haji Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad visited Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. They were welcomed by exhibition officer Haji Abdul Azim bin Haji Saman and given a briefing of the establishment.
PEMODA members increased their knowledge of Islamic history and got to learn about various Muslim scholars and their works.
They toured nine galleries and notable exhibits including a collection of Mushaf with various design and measurement; Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) hair; the prophet’s burdah pieces; replicas of the prophet’s footprint, swords and walking stick; a collection of Islamic manuscript; astronomical equipment; and fossils.
After the visit, the convoy headed to the capital’s festive stalls. – Lyna Mohamad
