A sharing session on breastfeeding was held at Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital in the Temburong District yesterday. The event was organised in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week celebrated every first week of August to raise awareness on breastfeeding-related issues.
This year’s theme is ‘Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a Difference for Working Parents’.
The spouse of Temburong District Officer Faezah binti Haji Jumarali attended as the guest of honour.
Nur Amalina binti Haji Sawal, Nur Zurah Hamimah binti Kasma and Nur Aleysha Zahra binti Abdullah Adin, who breastfed their newborns exclusively, shared their experiences with the attendees.
They also received mementos from the guest of honour at the event.
Senior administrative officer of the hospital, officers and staff also attended the event. – James Kon
