Congregants put their prayer mats closer together for Sunnat Hari Raya Aidilfitri prayers at mosques, suraus, and religious halls on Monday as the Sultanate continued to see the easing of restrictions.
Prayer mats previously had to be one foot apart according to physical distancing measures.
Mosque takmir Aidilfitri committee members, such as the ones at the Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Jangsak, informed unaware congregants about the change.
The more relaxed measure will be extended to Friday and daily prayers.
