Congregants of Kampong Mentiri held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at Hassanal Bolkiah mosque on Wednesday to mark the completion of 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran.
Haji Annuar bin Penghulu Haji Ibrahim recited Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah – Surah Lazim and Takhtim while Imam Abdul Salam bin Haji Salim recited Doa Khatam and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam at the event.
Meanwhile, congregants from Kampong Sungai Besar, Kampong Serdang and Kampong Sungai Belukut also organised a similar ceremony at Kampong Sungai Besar mosque.
Among those in attendance was the Acting Village Head Haji Zaini bin Haji Damit.
