The Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Takmir Committee and Syababus Salam Youth Group of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque members gathered for the second Riadah Ilal Hijrah held at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.
Director of Islamic Da’wah Centre at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh was the guest of honour.
The event began at 4.50am with a congregational Subuh prayer and tazkirah by Dr Haji Harapandi on ‘Bringing joy to fellow Muslims’, before concluding with a light exercise session and a walk around the capital.
The event’s objective was to encourage the community to be healthier and engage in recreational activities to maintain their physical and spiritual well-being.
It is in line with the implementation of the Islamic New Year this year, to inject awareness and transition towards a healthier lifestyle, enabling the ummah to be strong in performing daily worship, work, and responsibilities. – Adib Noor
