Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque at its premises held a Khatam Al-Quran was held for the first time for this year Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque in Sengkurong on Saturday.
Besides expressing gratefulness after completing the recitation of 30 juzuk of Al-Quran, the religious gathering was also one of the programmes lined up by the mosque’s takmir committee for this year.
Reciting Al-Quran in a group is a commendable activity held after the Subuh prayer at the mosque. The gathering began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Surah- Surah Lazim from Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas, led by Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque Iman Haji Manan bin Haji Osman.
Haji Razali bin Haji Mahalled led the recitation of Takhtim and Doa Selamat, followed by Dikir Marhaban by the mosque’s takmir committee members and Al-Quran readers.
Acting Village Head of Kampong Sengkurong ‘A’ Dr Haji Abdullah Hanif bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Dinda Haji Saman and Acting Village Head of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Haji Awang Razak bin Haji Ismail also attended the gathering.
