In response to the call of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in producing faithful and proactive youth, Kampong Belimbing Subok Mosque established a mosque youth group to promote the mosque and for youth living in the area to fill their time with productive activities.
The establishment of the group aims to encourage turn-out at activities organised by the mosque.
The mosque also believes youth groups can aid officials in the planning and managing of youth activities.
A ceremony was recently held to mark the occasion, attended by Acting of Mosque Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, who handed over the letter of appointment.
Earlier, mosque youth attended a briefing by Head of the Mosque Youth Affairs Division at the Mosque Affairs Department Haji Yusli bin Haji Ashli. – Azlan Othman
