The Kampong Sungai Besar Mosque Takmir Committee held a mass recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi on Friday.
The event began with the mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the mosque’s imam Haji Hanafiah bin Haji Mahmud who also recited Doa Selamat.
The recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi was led by Rahim bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Tamin.
Advisor I of the mosque, Village Head of Kampong Sungai Besar, Kampong Serdang and Kampong Sungai Belukut, Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Haji Zaini bin Haji Awang Damit expressed confidence that such practices foster unity and harmony among the congregant while imparting valuable lessons from Surah Al-Kahfi. The first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahfi are believed to offer protection against the trials of Dajjal. The regular recitation can help expiate sins and bring blessings, mercy and divine rewards, while Surah Al-Kahfi also serves as a reminder of humility, gratitude and unwavering faith in Allah the Almighty.
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Penghulu of Mukim Kota Batu Rasli bin Taram and community leaders including Village Head of RPN Kampong Panchor Area IV Faidil Rosemady bin Mohamad, Acting Village Head I of RPN Kampong Mentiri Haji Abu Bakar bin Haji Pungut and Advisor II of the mosque’s Takmir Committee Haji Mohiddin bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman were present. – Lyna Mohamad
