The heavy rain and thunder on Tuesday evening saw branches falling on roads, especially in villages around the Brunei-Muara District. However, it also left some areas with a natural scenic ‘calm after the storm’ view.
The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) also forecast potential active weather condition from Tuesday to today, with occasional heavy and thundery showers in the afternoon and at night, with wind gust potentially reaching up to 45 kilometres per hour.
There is also a high risk of flash floods, especially in low-lying areas, flood-prone areas and near river banks during continuous heavy rain and in high tide, as well as the risk of landslide and fallen trees, the department added. – Lyna Mohamad
