Selected underprivileged converts received contributions in a series of handovers in the last few days.

On Wednesday, a Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) team headed to remote villages in the Belait District and delivered contributions to nine convert families.

Head of Religious Officer from the Belait District Religious Affairs Office Aliyani bin Ismail led the team accompanied by members of the Sinar Islam Association.

Meanwhile, PDI Director Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh led PDI officers and handed contributions to seven underprivileged convert families along Jalan Muara in the Brunei-Muara District yesterday.

Joining the delegation were PDI Head of Human Resources, Planning Research and Publication Division Ruslan bin Haji Sulaiman and Acting Head of Convert Development Division Dr Hajah Rohanita binti Haji Yaakub as well as Nurul Islam Association President Haji Mohd Hazwan bin Abdullah.

The contributions aim to help convert families meet their daily basic needs while caring for convert families in life development and welfare of asnaf in the country, particularly converts.

Fathul Barakah 4.0 project is a platform for the public to provide alms in the form of basic necessities to be donated to convert families in need before the coming of Ramadhan to enable them to perform their fasting duties comfortably.

More than 400 infaq were collected through the Fathul Barakah 4.0 Project, organised by the PDI and Converts Associations Nationwide, which was conducted simultaneously nationwide last month.
