The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) through the Information Technology Division, in collaboration with Datastream Digital (DST) Sdn Bhd held an ‘Innovation for Government’ workshop for MoRA officials.

The workshop was conducted at the DST InnoLab, DST headquarters building, Kampong Rimba.

The workshop was a continuation of a workshop held at the beginning of 2021 for government officials from relevant ministries. MoRA has produced Zakat Fitrah payment solutions via eZakat online through the DST portal in the same year.

The workshop aimed to encourage innovative ideas and suggestions from participants.

Through the facilitator, the officials explored non-conventional solutions to overcome complex issues and challenges and produce ideas that have the potential to improve the quality of the MORA’s public services, notably the online payment by using mobile phone credit, debit or credit card and e-wallet – which are accessible through the portal and application of DST.

The ‘Innovation for Government’ workshop held for two days ended yesterday with the presentation of certificates of participation at the DST headquarters building by DST Chief Executive Officer Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni.
