The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) announced that products from Itsuki Foods Co Ltd found sold in several supermarkets were ordered to be placed in the non-halal section for sale.
This was a result of Syariah Affairs Department’s investigation on Kyushu ‘Tonkotsu’ Artificial Pork Flavor Ramen through the Halal Food Control Division after public complaints. The department found the manufacturer also produces a variety of instant noodles with pork-based flavours.
With this findings, the Kyushu ‘Tonkotsu’ Artificial Pork Flavor Ramen’s manufacturing status is categorised as dubious and according to Syara’ law, if something is of doubtful origin, it falls into Syubhah.
