The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held a donation ceremony for 15 orphans of the ministry staff yesterday at Multaqa Hall, Extended Building MoRA at Jalan Dewan Majlis in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan. Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the guest of honour, presented the donations.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Special Inspector from the Islamic Studies Department Haji Hendra bin Haji Meraji, followed by a Tahlil led by Assistant Religious Officer at the Haj Management Department Haji Muhammad Izzuddin bin Haji Abdul Rani.
The event aimed to ease the financial burden of the recipients while fostering a culture of generosity and social responsibility among ministry staff.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim; Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim; and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religion) Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar were also present. – Fadley Faisal
