Kampong Kilanas Mosque held a donation for 28 orphans residing in the vicinity recently.
Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali as a member of the mosque’s takmir committee presented the monetary contribution.
Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yusof as Patron I of the mosque’s Executive Committee was present.
Jerudong Park Country Club Sdn Bhd (JPCC) also presented contributions in the form of cash and basic necessities.
Acting General Manager of JPCC Hajah Siti Norzalena binti Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Raja Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Awang Abdul Rahman presented the donation from the country club’s staff.
The event also saw the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil.

The Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and its affiliated members contributed BND1,530 for food packs prepared by the Society for Community Outreach and Training (SCOT) for residents of the Welfare Home Complex yesterday.
Group representative Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar, the spouse of Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, handed over the contribution to Chairperson of SCOT Md Anwar bin Haji Mohammad at Crust & Crumbs Kitchen.

Brunei Darussalam Rabitah International Al-Azhar Alumni (WAAG Brunei Darussalam) organised its annual charitable campaign, ‘Khayrat Azhari’ recently.
Ra’es of WAAG Brunei Darussalam Executive Committee Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof presented contributions to five recipients in Belait District, comprising converts and underprivileged individuals.
Similar donations were also held in Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Temburong districts.
Meanwhile, 79 international students studying at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali also received contributions from Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz at the same event.
Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council & Kedayan Jerudong Heritage Association

Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK), Kedayan Jerudong Heritage Association (WARISAN) and recipients of old age pensions organised a ‘Makan Malam Tujuh Sekampong’ and a donation presentation for 37 orphans and 37 underprivileged individuals in Kampong Jerudong recently.
Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz was the guest of honour. Brunei-Muara District Officer Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim was also present.
The recipients were handed over money and food contributed by MPK Jerudong ‘B’, WARISAN, Bellaziz Holdings, Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA), Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (BGC) and Amal Jariah Group.
The event saw the recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah, led by Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque Head Imam Muhammad Amaluddin bin Haji Jamaluddin.
