    Mona Lisa’s smile? Billboard’s J-Hope style

ANN/THE KOREA HERALD – J-Hope, rapper-dancer of global K-pop sensation BTS, has once again made waves on the US Billboard Hot 100, this time with his latest digital single Mona Lisa. The track, which premiered at No. 65 on the chart released Monday, marks a significant milestone in his solo career.

This latest entry brings his total Hot 100 appearances to seven, placing him on equal footing with fellow BTS member Jungkook as the most-charted K-pop solo artist to date.

J-Hope first landed on the chart in 2019 with Chicken Noodle Soup featuring Becky G, which peaked at No. 81. Since then, he has consistently demonstrated his global appeal. His 2022 solo debut album Jack in the Box produced two Hot 100 singles — More and Arson — which charted at No. 82 and No. 96 respectively. In 2023, his high-profile collaboration with J. Cole, on the street, debuted at an impressive No. 60.

So far in 2025, J-Hope has charted three times in quick succession. LV Bag featuring Pharrell Williams entered at No. 83, followed by Sweet Dreams with Miguel at No. 66, and now Mona Lisa continuing the streak.

Beyond the Hot 100, Mona Lisa also made a strong global impact, reaching No. 14 on the Billboard Global 200 and climbing to No. 9 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart — his highest positions on both rankings to date.

As his solo discography continues to grow, J-Hope proves he’s not only a team player but also a formidable force in the international music scene on his own terms.
