    MoHA strengthens community bonds through Tedarus, charity

    Delegates from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and its departments held a Ramadhan Tedarus ceremony and donation presentation for orphans on Saturday at As-Salaam Mosque, Kampong Junjongan.

    A total of 24 orphans from the mosque’s surrounding areas received donations, while a desktop computer and refrigerator were presented as waqaf for the mosque’s use.

    Permanent Secretary (Safety and Welfare) at the MoHA Salminan bin Haji Burut was the guest of honour.

    Legislative Council members, the deputy permanent secretary, heads of departments, Mukim penghulu and village heads, senior officers, officers and staff of MoHA and its departments, as well as village council members were present.

    The event underscores MoHA’s commitment to fostering community engagement and enriching the spiritual essence of Ramadhan through acts of charity and religious devotion. – Lyna Mohamad
