The Ministry of Health (MoH) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at Surau Dhafwatul Ai’sy of the Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital, Temburong District yesterday, in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by guest of honour Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar which saw eight orphans comprising children of the hospital staff receiving donations.
The ceremony is an annual religious activity held by the MoH during Ramadhan.
Permanent Secretary at MoH Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Acting Director General of Medical and Health Services at the MoH Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail and directors and senior officials of the MoH also attended.
