The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced the operating hours for health services at health centres and clinics under the Department of Health Services throughout the month of Ramadhan.
The Berakas Health Centre is open from Monday to Thursday for residents under its catchment area from 8am to 2pm, and open to all from 7.30pm to 10pm.
On Fridays, Sundays and public holidays, it will operate from 2pm to 4pm and 7.30pm to 10pm.
The flu and general clinic will be open to all.
In the Belait District, the Sungai Liang Health Centre will operate from Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays (except public holidays) from 8am to 2pm for residents under its catchment area. The flu and general clinic will be open to all from 2pm to 4pm and 7.30pm to 9pm on Fridays, Sundays and public holidays.
Other health centres, health clinics, community psychological services and other services throughout the country will operate from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8am to 2pm for residents under their catchment areas.
The public is advised to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the end of the operating hours to ensure smooth service.
The MoH, through the Department of Laboratory Services, also announced the operating hours for service counters at the Blood Sampling Section, Specimen Receiving Centre as well as blood donation services at the Blood Donation Centre and Blood Bank at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, Suri Seri Begawan (SSB) Hospital, Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah (PMMPMHAMB) Hospital and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital during Ramadhan.
The Blood Sampling Section and Specimen Receiving Centre will operate from 8am to 1.30pm on weekdays.
RIPAS Hospital, SSB Hospital and Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam blood donation services will run from 8am to 1.45 pm.
PMMPMHAMB Hospital’s blood donation services in Tutong District will operate from 8am to 1pm on weekdays whereas Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital’s blood donation services in the Temburong District will operate from 9am to 12pm on weekdays.
Meanwhile, the Blood Donation Center of the Department of Laboratory Service will extend its services into the evening on March 25, March 28, March 30 and April 1, the MoH said in a press release.
The evening services are scheduled from 8pm to 10pm, while registration hour will be at 9.30pm.
Booking via BloodKad is highly encouraged.
The Blood Donation Centre welcomes any organisations or non-governmental bodies along with private companies not fasting during the day to donate blood at the centre. Those fasting are advised to make contribution in the evening.
