The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE), the Office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight and Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) held the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim.
The ceremony, held at the Royal Mausoleum at Jalan Kubah Makam Diraja along Jalan Tutong yesterday, was attended by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah as well as Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
Permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries at the MoFE, heads of departments and staff members of the ministry and departments under it were also present. The event began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, followed by a Tahlil recitation led by Mosque Affairs Officer of Kampong Pulaie Mosque Muhd Zakaria bin Haji Salleh.
Meanwhile, female officers and staff at the MoFE, the Office of His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight and BDCB took part in a talk held in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan.
