MoE holds religious ceremony for pilgrims

Sixty-three intending haj pilgrims comprising Ministry of Education (MoE) officers and staff were feted in a Doa Selamat at the ministry’s Utama Banquet Hall yesterday.

Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Salleh was the guest of honour.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mosque Affairs Officer from the Department of Mosque Affairs of the Brunei-Muara District Muhamad Amin bin Haji Salim, followed by a lecture on haj ‘Meraih Haji Yang Mabrur’ by Religious Development Officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre Haji Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustafa.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of donations to the pilgrims by the minister.

The event concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat.

The ceremony was held by the Department of Administration and Services in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Innovation Centre, MoE.

The ceremony aimed to seek blessings of Allah the Almighty for the intending pilgrims for protection, safety, and good health to fulfil the haj as well as to uphold the spirit of worship and community among the ministry’s officers and staff.
