MoE delegation visits ASEAN TVET Conference

A delegation from the Ministry of Education (MoE) attended the ASEAN TVET Conference from July 3-5 in Batam, Indonesia, organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (MoECRT) of Indonesia.

The delegation was led by Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Chin Wei Keh and accompanied by Head of Supply Chain Management-in-Country-Value as Lead of the Manpower Industry Steering Committee Working Group (MISC-WG) Energy Haji Muhammad Amirul Shahnoel bin Haji Mohammad Noeh; Acting Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (BDNAC) at MoE Haji Mohd Fadzillah bin Haji Abdullah; Acting Deputy CEO (Academic) at Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Dr Saiful Rizal bin Haji Marali and Head of the School of Science and Engineering, Politeknik Brunei Haji Mohammad Reizal bin Mohammad Ali.

The delegation visited the Nongsa Digital Park Batam and Politeknik Negeri Batam during the conference.

The conference aimed to share and discuss collaborative practices between TVET and the business entities/industries in ASEAN.

Among the key objectives were to share and learn various models of collaboration, key ingredients for impactful collaboration between TVET and industry; to stimulate regional collaboration between TVET and industry; and to draft policy recommendations on TVET-industry collaboration.
