The Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) recently donated the third trolley for deceased’s ritual cleansing to Kampong Penabai Mosque, Kuala Tutong.
The mobile trolley is used for the ritual cleansing of a Muslim’s deceased’s body prior to burial.
MKM President Mohd Yusof bin Halim said several mosques had reached out to the MKM to assist in acquiring these trolleys. “Kampong Penabai Mosque had reached out to us for the trolley. We verified that they are in need for the trolley and is most happy to be of assistance.”
The trolleys are customised from a local vendor. The purchase and donation is part of a larger project handled by MKM where they will bear the cost of funeral expenses among the economically underprivileged families.
Kampong Penabai Mosque Imam Muhammad Syuwari bin Ilham accepted the trolley. He said they are grateful for the donation as it will make it easier to perform the Fardhu Kifayah in the ritual cleansing of the deceased.
