The Miss Borneo International pageant will be held at the Banquet Hall of the Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club in Miri, Sarawak from January 3 to 9, 2025.
The event attracts contestants from West Malaysia, Sarawak, Sabah, Brunei and Indonesia where they will be able to showcase beauty and talent while celebrating Borneo’s cultural diversity.
Miri Mayor Adam Yii, chairing the press conference announced the event, emphasising that Miri would highlight its blend of tradition and modernity. During the pageant week, participants and guests will experience Miri’s unique culture, including indigenous dance (Ngajat), Sape music performances, handicraft displays and a variety of cuisines.
Yii also noted that the pageant would elevate Miri’s cultural tourism profile, attracting global attention and encouraging more tourists to explore the city’s heritage and hospitality.
He called on all sectors to support the event, which he described as not only a celebration of beauty but also an opportunity to showcase Borneo’s spirit.
