The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday called on the public to donate blood as supplies blood banks across the country are critically low.
There is an urgent need for all blood types to meet the demand for blood transfusions nationwide, the MoH said in a statement.
Donors can visit the Blood Donation Centre or nearby blood banks from 8am to 11.30am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on working days.
The Laboratory Services Department’s Blood Donation Centre will also organise blood drives to boost the supplies.
Universiti Brunei Darussalam will host a campaign at its library tomorrow from 9.30am to 3pm, while the Language and Literature Bureau at Tutong District will hold the drive on January 18 from 9am to 11.30am at its premises.
Meanwhile, the Blood Donation Centre of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital will hold a campaign on January 20 from 7.30pm to 9pm.
