Ministry responds to alleged school bullying case

An alleged incident of bullying at a secondary school has come under the spotlight after it was made viral across social media platforms.

Responding to the situation, the Ministry of Education on Saturday issued a statement condemning the alleged acts and launched an investigation.

The video shows acts, including a student pinning another student and pressing the victim’s face with his fist in what seemed like an alleged attempt of physical bullying.

The incident is purported to have occurred at the school’s Surau.
