The Ministry of Health (MoH) issued a public warning of scam calls from unknown numbers that inform the recipients they are close contacts of a COVID-19 positive case and request them to call a number for further verification during which they are asked to provide personal information.
The MoH said these calls did not originate from the ministry or the Darussalam Line 123 and called on the public to refrain from sharing personal information with suspicious callers.
“The MoH takes this matter seriously and has made a report to the relevant authorities for further investigation,” it said ina statement. For information, call Darussalam Line at 123 or Health Advice Line at 148.
