A dialogue was held between the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) and Legislative Council (LegCo) members at the ministry at Commonwealth Drive in Jalan Kebangsaan on Monday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah chaired the session.
The session served as a platform for constructive discussions as well as exchange of views and knowledge to advance the country’s economy through relevant and sustainable national expenses.
LegCo members were briefed on the initiatives and achievements of the MoFE for 2023.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani; permanent secretaries and acting permanent secretaries; managing director of Brunei Darussalam Central Bank; deputy permanent secretaries and heads of departments and divisions at the ministry were present.
Meanwhile, the LegCo members were led by Yang Berhormat Hajah Rosmawatty binti Haji Abdul Momin. – Rokiah Mahmud
