The Ministry of Religious Affairs organised a Qiamullail Ramadhan prayer yesterday morning at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong, as part of its efforts to encourage spiritual reflection and communal worship during the last 10 nights of Ramadhan.
The Qiamullail session featured the Sunnat Tasbih prayer by Mosque Affairs Officer at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Mustafa bin Haji Murat. This was followed by the recitation of wirid and Doa Sembahyang Sunnat Tasbih, as well as Doa Munajat and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Affairs Senior officer Haji Haris bin Haji Suboh. Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, senior government officials, personnel from various ministries, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Police Force, mosque youth groups, Muslimah mosque congregant and members of mosque takmir committees were present. The congregation also included members of the public who participated in the prayers.
Similar Qiamullail Ramadhan events were also held at Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait, Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong, and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Pekan Bangar.
The event aimed to bring together public service personnel while also welcoming the wider community to enliven mosques across the country. – Fadley Faisal
