The Ministry of Education (MoE), through the Department of Schools Inspectorate and Department of Higher Education, held a virtual ceremony to mark the Israk Mikraj celebration for 1443 Hijrah yesterday.
Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman was the guest of honour.
Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh was also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa by Specialist Inspector of the Department of Schools Inspectorate Khairol-Azri bin Haji Md Kassim.
The event also featured a special talk titled ‘Sembahyang Ku Kerana Allah’, based on the Israk Mikraj National Celebration 1443H/2022M theme, delivered by religious officer from Islamic Da’wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi.
The ceremony aimed to commemorate as well as take lessons and teachings from the events of Israk Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Permanent Secretaries (Higher Education and Core Education), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Universiti Teknologi Brunei Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Universiti Brunei Darussalam Vice-Chancellor Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Deputy Permanent Secretaries (Higher Education and Core Education), heads of departments, officials and staff of the MoE also attended.
