Ministry holds Tahlil for late royals

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) held a Tahlil and Doa Arwah ceremony for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien  ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha attended the ceremony, which saw the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the mass recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil.

Yesterday’s ceremony served as one of the religious activities of the ministry, its departments and agencies aimed at enlivening the month of Ramadhan.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at the MTIC and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transportation) at the MTIC.
