The distribution ceremony of kurnia peribadi (personal gift) of dates from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah for officers and staff under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) was held at the Citra Budaya Hall, MCYS yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the MCYS Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan who also carries the duties of Permanent Secretary (Sports) was the guest of honour.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by an officer from the Administration and Finance Division at the MCYS Muhammad Afif bin Ali.
The event continued with the distribution of the personal gifts of dates from His Majesty for the MCYS. A total of 6,868 small boxes of dates were distributed to officers and staff of the ministry as well as the departments under it including their family members.
The event concluded with the reading of the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. – Fadhil Yunus
