The Ministry of Development (MoD) held a celebration to mark the new Islamic year of 1444 Hijrah at Indera Pahlawan Hall of the Work Skills Test and Training Centre yesterday.
Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid was the guest of honour.
The ceremony, organised by the Housing Development Department, also coincided with Doa Kesyukuran for the safe return of staff members at the ministry from their haj pilgrimage.
There was also a religious talk, ‘Menjana Insan Bertaqwa dan Berintegriti Melalui Penghayatan Peristiwa Hijrah Rasulullah SAW’, organised for the event, delivered by Dean of Syariah Faculty at Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar.
A Dikir Marhaban was also performed followed by the sprinkling of scented flowers on the officers and staff who have completed the pilgrimage.
