The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held a religious ceremony in conjunction with the National Family Day celebration at the Ash- Shaliheen Mosque yesterday.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was the guest of honour.
Also in attendance were Legislative Council members, permanent secretaries, district officers, members from the Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE) and non-governmental organisations.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Al-Fatihah, followed by Doa Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran led by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Mohd Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran.
The event continued with a religious talk on ‘Upholding Family Values; Caring, Affection, Respect and Responsibility’, by assistant lecturer at Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak.
The religious talk focussed on Islam’s core family values by exemplifying the way of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in family life.
The event concluded with Asar prayer, Doa against COVID-19, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and Doa Keluarga.
