The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held an Ilal Hijrah celebration at Digadong Hall of the ministry’s building yesterday.
The event saw religious development officer Siti Syuhaidah binti Haji Mohd Yusoff from Islamic Da’wah Centre deliver a special talk on ‘Ilal Hijrah, Ilal Jannah’, followed by a Dikir Marhaban performance and the recitation of Doa Selamat by the MCYS dikir group Firqah Al-Falaah to celebrate the safe return of eight MCYS haj pilgrims.
The ceremony concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and protection against the COVID-19 pandemic, led by Religious Development officer from the Youth Development Centre Abdul Muaz’zam Azri bin Zulkifli, as well as the recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Sayyidul Istighfar. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was present, along with Permanent Secretary (Community) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari. – Jamed Kon
