The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) yesterday issued a statement apologising for inconvinence caused by payment delays following the implementation of the Treasury Accounting and Financial Information System 2.0 (TAFIS 2.0) on April 1.
The ministry said they have set up a payment clinic to assist government departments to immediately process claims made before April 2024.
The clinic has been set up at Guest Lounge 1 at MoFE and is open from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday at 8.30am to noon and 2pm to 4pm.
Vendors are welcome to visit the payment clinic to enable the Treasury Department to collect further information on their outstanding claims and related purchase orders. The information will allow the Treasury Department to liaise with the relevant departments for further action.
Vendors are reminded that for payments to be processed successfully, they are required to be registered in the Government Vendor Portal (GVP) and that the invoices concerned have been submitted to the respective department.
The Treasury Department would also like to remind vendors that payments will not be approved if the submitted documents are incomplete and not in order.
For vendors requiring further assistance in registration or have enquiries on GVP, a vendor clinic has been set up in Meeting Room 3, Level 1, MoFE.
Vendors may attend the clinic scheduled from Monday until Thursday and Saturday at 8.30am to 11.30am and 2pm to 4pm.
