The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) team advanced to the quarter-finals as one of the top four teams in Group A at the Inter-Ministerial Futsal Tournament held in conjunction with 31st Civil Service Day celebration at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas yesterday.
The MoHA team won all five matches, finishing first in Group A with 15 points.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs was placed second with 12 points after winning four matches and losing one.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance and Economy ranked third and fourth, also qualified for the quarter-finals.
The top four teams from Group A will face the top four teams from Group B, which include teams from the Ministry of Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Defence.
The Inter-Ministerial Futsal Tournament aims to enhance players’ skills, discover new talent, and strengthen friendly relations among personnel. This year’s tournament is organised by the MoHA. – Azlan Othman
