The Ministry of Health (MoH) held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony, a donation presentation to seven orphans and a Doa Arwah and tahlil at Surau Dhafwatu Ai’sy of the Pengiran Isteri Hajjah Mariam Hospital, Temburong District yesterday.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by guest of honour Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar and the presentation of donations to seven orphans comprising children of hospital staff.
This was followed with a Tedarus and Doa Arwah and tahlil.
MoH directors, senior officials and staff also attended the ceremony.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Examination Department in collaboration with the National Education Council Secretariat and the Education Technology Centre held a recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and for His Majesty’s late son Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad led the delegation.
The recitation of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil was led by Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque imam Muhammad bin Haji Bagol.
Vice-chancellor, rector, deputy permanent secretary at the MoE, senior officials, officers and staff from the MoE were also present.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin led over 250 officers and staff for the religious gathering.
Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi, heads of departments, senior officers, officers and staff at the ministry also attended.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil as well as Doa Selamat led by Kampong Pulaie Mosque Affairs Officer Muhd Zakaria bin Haji Salleh.
The ministry also held a Tedarus Al-Quran ceremony at the Perpindahan Kampong Serasa Mosque yesterday.
The minister attended as the guest of honour, joined by deputy permanent secretaries at the MPRT, department heads, senior officers and staff at the MPRT as well as members of the Perpindahan Kampong Serasa Mosque takmir committee.
The event commenced with a handover of Waqaf from the MPRT in the form of mosque equipment by the minister to the imam, Haji Nurhidayatullah bin Haji Zulkiflee.
This was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the mass recitation of Al-Quran verses.
The event concluded with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
