A delegation from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) conducted a visit on Sunday morning in response to concerns about the welfare of fire victims at Kampong Bolkiah ‘A’, in the capital.
The residence belonging to Rosli bin Haji Tuah was devastated by the fire that resulted in the loss of a senior member while 14 escaped the blaze unharmed.
The delegation from Yayasan, led by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof in his capacity as the Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors, was joined by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar as the Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad as a member of Yayasan Board of Directors and Chairman of the Yayasan Aid Review Committee.
Also present during the visit was Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan. – James Kon
