A rehearsal was held to ensure the smooth running of the religious Ilal Hijrah 1445 celebration tonight at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.
The celebration tonight will be held at all mosques, suraus and religious halls with special focus at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong, RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque in Belait District, Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong District and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Bangar, Temburong District.
There will also be recitations of Doa Akhir Tahun 1444 Hijrah and Doa Awal Tahun 1445 Hijrah.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman as the Co-Chair of the Executive Committee for major Islamic calendar of events for 1445 Hijrah; Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha attended the rehearsal yesterday.
Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Chief Syar’ie Court Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries from the three ministries.
Ilal Hijrah 1445 is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Mosque Affairs Department.
The theme this year is ‘Ugama Dipelihara, Negara Sejahtera’.
The Ilal Hijrah 1445 commemorates the migration of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) from Makkah to Madinah. Starting this year, the celebration will be known as Ilal Hijrah 1445. ‘Ilal Hijrah’ means towards migration and in relation to acquiring success and for betterment of life. The celebration invites Muslims to change their lives for the better every year. – Azlan Othman
