Practising accountability and integrity in every aspect of operations is important towards strengthening ethics and a work culture, said Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, in his capacity as the Chairman of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Perbadanan TAIB) Board of Directors.
He said this during Perbadanan TAIB’s 33rd anniversary celebration on Saturday.
The minister also emphasised the necessity for every Perbadanan TAIB employee to always be guided by the core values of CARES in governance – customer, trust, respect, excellence and solution.
“With pure and sincere intentions solely because of Allah the Almighty, Perbadanan TAIB will be able to realise its vision and mission as the main leader in the development of sustainable Islamic finance, providing benefits to the community and supporting the progress of the country,” the minister said.
“The recognition through the Payment Initiatives of the Year Award from Asian Banking and Finance and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification, proves the success of Perbadanan TAIB’s continuous commitment to excellence and efficiency with a competitive spirit through innovation to improve quality services and safe.
