Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman on Thursday paid a working visit to Tutong District to take a closer look at the road upgrading project in areas frequently affected by flooding.
The minister, in his capacity as chairman of the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC), visited Jalan Rambai, Jalan Kuala Ungar-Benutan, Jalan Kerancing-Benutan and Jalan Panchong.
The minister also visited Kebubok longhouse, Kampong Supon Besar and Empangan Jubli Emas Ulu Tutong.
One of the objectives of the working visit was to observe the progress of the of the ongoing road upgrading projects and areas frequently affected by floods.
Permanent secretary, acting permanent secretary, acting deputy permanent secretaries, director general of Public Works Department, NDMC director, acting Tutong District officer as well as penghulu and village heads were also present. – James Kon
