Thirty tree saplings – podocarpus and eugenia – were planted around the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications’ (MTIC) building yesterday as part of the ministry’s green initiatives.
Among those participating was Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof.
The objective of the tree planting was to support the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy’s (BNCCP) Green Protocol implemented in conjunction with the Brunei Darussalam Action Year.
Tree-planting activities will be carried out by the ministry throughout the year to plant 2,000 saplings by year-end.
