Minister attends education forum in UK

Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh attended the 19th Education World Forum (EWF) at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London, United Kingdom (UK) from May 7 to 10.

Themed ‘New Beginnings: Nurturing Learning Culture, Building Resilience, Promoting Sustainability. Stronger, Bolder, Better Education by Design’, the event saw plenary sessions and ministerial exchanges reflecting various aspects related to education.

There were also opportunities to visit selected schools in London.

Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah also met with UK Minister of State (Minister of State for Schools) Nicolas John Gibb to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between Brunei and the UK in the field of education. Accompanying the minister were the deputy permanent secretary (core education) at the Ministry of Education and senior ministry officials.

EWF is the largest gathering of education ministers and policymakers in the world, which aims to discuss education policies. Some 88 education ministers from 116 countries attended this year’s forum.
