(ANN/THE STAR) – Malaysian actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and her husband, Jean Todt, recently marked a significant milestone as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

The couple, who tied the knot in a charming ceremony in Geneva last year, took to social media to share their joy on this special occasion.

Yeoh, 61, and Todt, 78, delighted fans with two heartfelt photos. One image showcased a beautifully engraved stone bearing their names and the date of their wedding, 27th July 2023.

The second photo captured a tender moment between the couple in a picturesque garden setting, where Todt was seen lovingly draping his arm around Yeoh as she held his hand.

The anniversary post received a flood of warm wishes from fans and fellow celebrities alike. Comedian Ken Jeong, actor Harry Shum Jr, and acclaimed director James Gunn were among those who sent their congratulations.

Fans also took to social media to share their heartfelt messages, with one netizen exclaiming, “Happy anniversary! Here’s to many more happy days together!” and another adding, “Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.”

Currently in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Yeoh has also been active in supporting the Refugee Olympic Team, encouraging the public to show solidarity with athletes displaced from their home countries.

Yeoh and Todt’s journey to their wedding was a long one, spanning 19 years of courtship before their nuptials. Following their wedding in Geneva, they celebrated their union with close friends and family in Yeoh’s hometown of Ipoh and on Pangkor Island, Perak.

Their anniversary celebrations not only commemorate their personal milestone but also highlight their continued commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
