MIB Day at Maktab Duli

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli) held a Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) Day celebrated every two years, focusing on major national calendar of events to strengthen Brunei Darussalam as an MIB country and to support the aspiration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The ceremony included briefings and quiz activities by information officer from the Information Department Hajah Norhijrah binti Haji Idris. Students from other sixth form centres and science colleges were also present.

Principal of Maktab Duli Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad, the guest of honour, presented certificates and prizes to 13 outstanding A* students in the MIB subject.

According to Head of the Department of Malay Studies at Maktab Duli Norliham binti Haji Tuah, the criteria for the recipient of excellent students were those who obtained MIB marks with a score of 90 per cent and above and are categorised as having the highest score obtained by students in their classes. – Azlan Othman
